These are upscale studio apartments, right in the middle of downtown Poughkeepsie in an Artist's area called NONY (North of New York). Surrounded by art galleries, the Bardavon (the oldest continually operating theater in New York), the Mid Hudson Civic Center, the Cuneen Hackett Center (an Old Men's Home built by Matthew Vassar, converted to a venue for the arts), and a very upscale Victorian Coffee Shop called Demitasse Cafe (located on the first floor of 202 Main St). These apartments are within walking distance of the train to New York City. These studios have Jacuzzis, Italian porcelain tile, tumbled marble, and pedestal sinks in the bathrooms. Kitchens have maple cabinets with glass peninsula doors, under cabinet lighting, stainless steel appliances (dishwasher, microwave, stove, and side-by-side refrigerator), swanstone sinks with garbage disposals and ceramic disk gooseneck faucets. Units have high ceilings, plush wall-to-wall carpeting, central air, and the heat is included in the rent. These luxury rental apartments are completed. Apartments are ready to move in now. The kitchens have granite countertops, maple cabinets, glass doors on peninsula cabinets, stainless steel appliances (microwave, fridge, dishwasher & stove) and cork floors. The bathrooms have marble walls, ceramic floors, double showers heads, pedestal sinks. The living room, bedroom and hall floors are bamboo. The finish trim is luxurious, and reminiscent of Victorian times. There will be a video intercom so that you can see who is buzzing you for entry to the complex. There is a center courtyard with a green roof that all the apartments face for a nice private interior area. We are using geothermal technology to heat and cool the apartments at extremely low cost. We are using two 15Kw photovoltaic systems to convert the sun's energy into electricity so that the costs to run the common areas are very low. The courtyard will contain a partial green roof, to help consume some of the storm water runoff from the upper roofs. This is an environmentally responsible project, with high energy efficiency aspects incorporated into the design. There is some off street parking, enclosed by gates, and electronic code access. Additionally there is a large municipal parking deck about 100’ away. You HAVE to visit the apartments to truly see how beautiful they are.
